Even More Posters Released For Pacific Rim: Uprising

Ever since the release of Pacific Rim, it seems that giant kaiju movies have been re-entering the mainstream—what with the releases of the Godzilla reboot as well as Kong: Skull Island. John Boyega has given us a look at the new poster with him on the center, but now we also have some new character posters for Pacific Rim: Uprising:

The movie is said to take place ten years after the events of the first film, and the story will focus on a new generation of Jaeger pilots who will be battling a whole new set of kaiju. Boyega's character Jake is said to be the son of Idris Elba's Stacker Pentecost, and it looks like him and his team are ready to pilot a whole new generation of Jaegers.

As for Scott Eastwood's character, he's listed as Nate Lambert, and with the same Jaeger behind him in the poster, I'm guessing he'll be serving as Boyega's co-piloy. Or is he?

Based on the teasers alone, it looks like the new Jaegers will not require two pilots in order to function, with Boyega being able to pilot his own Jaeger by himself. Of course, this is just what the teaser made it look like. I'm actually pretty fond of the concept of Jaegers needing two in-sync pilots. The sleeker design also reminds me of the EVAs from Evangelion.

Pacific Rim: Uprising is set for a release on March 23, 2018.
