Drew Goddard's X-Force Film Still On Track

When the Disney/Fox merger was made, a lot of fans were worried about the fate of various X-Men spinoffs. Though established franchises like Deadpool were confirmed safe, unproven experiments like Gambit, Multiple Man, and X-Force were not. Thankfully, it was confirmed early on that Gambit would still be made and we now know that the same can be said for X-Force.

Discussing Film has confirmed that X-Force is still going to happen and Drew Goddard will write and direct it. Though there will be plans to merge the X-Men and Fantastic Four with the rest of the MCU, it's not yet clear if X-Force will be a part of that plan. It will likely depend on how the film does with critics and the box office.

Though we haven't seen anything concrete about X-Force yet, a number of characters from the team are going to be in Deadpool 2. Cable was advertised as early as the end of the very first Deadpool film, while Domino was confirmed later on. In a way, Deadpool 2 could be a prelude to X-Force, though that's just speculation at this point.

X-Force does not have a release date yet.
