Diana is Far From Home in First Wonder Woman: Bloodlines Trailer

DC Animation has finally released the first trailer of Wonder Woman: Bloodlines, only the second animated film to feature the DC superhero in a solo starring role. Like previous DC animated movies, this will be in the same universe with stories like Batman: Hush and Death of Superman, though they don't necessarily affect each other. Still, it's a nice cohesive way to keep all the DC characters in one continuity.

Bloodlines is an interesting movie since it shows parts of Diana's origin and an adventure that seems to be set in the modern-day. The main storyline has Diana having to go back to her homeland of Themyscira after seemingly being banned from there, after deciding to go to man's land with Steve Trevor. The trailer does show a lot of action and it looks like this will please any hardcore Wonder Woman fan.

Here's the film's synopsis:

"When Amazon princess Diana of Themyscira chooses to save fighter pilot Steve Trevor, it's a choice that will change her world and ours. Fulfilling the role of both ambassador as well as protector, Diana earns the name Wonder Woman from the gracious people of Earth. But her heart is as strong as her will as she is determined to help a troubled and embittered young girl whom has fallen in with a deadly organization known only as Villainy, Inc! Get ready for an exciting adventure packed with brutal battles, myth and wonder!"

As of this writing, the film doesn't have a release date. Wonder Woman: Bloodlines will come to Blu-Ray, DVD, and digital outlets later this year.
