Chris Evans Addresses Viral Post About His Number Neighbor

How awesome would it be to discover that you have a celebrity's private number? That's exactly what most people believed about a viral post about a woman who contacted her "neighbor number" and realized it was Chris Evans. Interestingly, the Avengers: Endgame star has addressed the post on social media.

It all started with a new trend where people text a phone number that is only one digit away from your own, or your "neighbor number." While some report that it's a great way to meet new people, some are simply annoyed with getting unwanted messages. Not surprisingly, one woman reportedly hit the jackpot when she found out that Evans is her "neighbor number" and immediately shared the screenshots on social media.

So is this real? Evans tweeted about the post, revealing that it is a fake.

Although Evans did not reveal where the photos came from, the actor's simple tweet should be enough to prove that no, he never Facetimed his own number neighbor. After all, it seems highly unlikely that Evans would actually refer to himself as "America's Ass" when messaging a stranger.

The term "America's Ass" was coined by Scott Lang in Endgame when he joined Steve Rogers, Tony Stark, and Bruce Banner as they went back in time to the Battle of New York. Although Tony commented that the other Steve's butt needed more work, Scott immediately pointed out that it was perfect and it is "America's Ass."

Avengers: Endgame is now available on digital. The DVD and Blu-ray will be released on August 13.
