We finally know who Angelina Jolie will play in the highly anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe flick The Eternals. But what will the Maleficent: Mistress of Evil star look like as the magnificent Thena? An awesome new fan art imagines Jolie as the powerful Eternal warrior.
The art was created by digital artist Carlos Gzz and depicts Jolie in Thena's trademark golden armor, crown, and red cape. Check it out below.
It's certainly an amazing look on Jolie, who has already proven that she looks stunning as a blonde. She had previously appeared as a blonde in the first half of her action film Salt and there is little doubt that she will embrace the hair color for her Marvel Cinematic Universe role.
But what do we know about Thena? In the comic books, Thena is usually mistaken for the goddess Athena. Like most of the other Eternals, she lost her memories due to Sprite's reality warping. However, she soon gets her memories back and works with Ikaris and other Eternals to prevent the Dreaming Celestial from awakening under Los Angeles.
It is still unclear if Chloe Zhao's film will follow Thena's storyline. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
The Eternals will also star Richard Madden as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as Macary, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Salma Hayek as Ajax, Lia McHugh as Sprite, and Don Lee as Gilgamesn. Jolie was initially rumored to play Sersi in the MCU but there is a possibility that Marvel is eyeing a different actress to take on the role.
