Cheetah Reportedly To Be Wonder Woman 2’s Big Bad

Wonder Woman met a lot of critical and commercial success during its theatrical run last year, and now fans are all looking forward to the film's sequel, one which will reportedly pit Diana (Gal Gadot) against DC villain Cheetah.

According to That Hashtag Show, Cheetah will serve as Wonder Woman 2's main villain. The publication also writes that Warner Brothers has started casting for the role ahead of the film's production this summer. Though the studio had first been considering Emma Stone for the part, the report also reveals that the Oscar-winning actress has passed up the role. Though there isn't any word on who the studio is considering for the role now that Stone's passed up the part, the site also writes that Wonder Woman actors Said Taghmaoui and Ewan Bremner would both be returning to the film' sequel.

Taghmaoui and Bremner's inclusion in Wonder Woman 2 may sound a bit surprising considering how the Wonder Woman sequel would move on to a different era, however it is possible that the two reprise their role through flashbacks in the movie. That, or they could play older versions of their characters just like Hayley Atwell did in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Wonder Woman 2 premieres on November 1, 2019.
