Avengers: Infinity War Filming Brings 2 Key Characters to Scotland

Marvel's biggest ensemble movie to date, Avengers: Infinity War, has gathered a lot of the Avengers in Scotland. From the looks of it, two more stars are heading that way, proving that the location will have quite a lot of weight in the overall movie.

Chronicle Live reported on a few murmurs that Durham may be welcoming in two important characters on set. These are none other than Iron Man and Nick Fury, portrayed by Robert Downey Jr. and Samuel L. Jackson. This came from a source close to the publication.

There are no new details available, but Durham Cathedral is expected to close the site again on May 9, with expectations of fans gathering to catch a glimpse of the stars of the upcoming movie during filming.

Marvel Studios has been successful in keeping the storyline under wraps. So far, the only thing we've seen is a possible face-off between Scarlet Witch and a mo-capped character, as well as Vision and Scarlet seemingly taking another step towards a more civilian approach to their relationship.

One other character who has been seen in Edinburgh is Chris Hemsworth who plays Thor. However, there's no word yet on how the story will go.

Avengers: Infinity War will be out in theaters on May 2018, with the untitled sequel coming the year after on May 2019.
