Ant-Man and The Wasp is the latest MCU film and it's coming out this week. Fans are curious about what it will add to the MCU's continuity and if anything from the film will be used in the fourth Avengers installment, which still has no name. One other thing fans might be curious about is if there will be a third film in the Ant-Man series.
Previous reports claimed that another film centered on these characters is uncertain and actress Evangeline Lilly essentially confirmed that, saying fans will need to see this installment if they want to see another one.
Speaking with the Hollywood Reporter, Lilly revealed that she would love to star in another one of these movies and hopes (haha) that there will be another one. Considering how Lilly's Wasp is getting more promotional time than the previous movie, it is nice seeing her shine and we can only hope that we get more of Hope Van Dyne.
"At this point, my understanding is that we need to get butts in the theater seats again if we're going to have another film. So if everyone gets out and watches it then I would assume we'll have another one. I hope we'll have another one, because I really want to do it again, but I don't know right now."
Considering how the movie is called Ant-Man and The Wasp, knowing that they get equal billing isn't a huge surprise. Paul Rudd's Scott Lang will likely get plenty of time to shine but Lilly's Hope Van Dyne also deserves some of that after essentially getting benched in the first movie.
Ant-Man and The Wasp will hit theaters this week on July 6.
