Animated Spider-Man Movie Gets An Official Poster

Sony may be getting a new Spider-Man in the form of Tom Holland, but they're planning to milk the franchise out even more with an animated movie of Spider-Man based on the Miles Morales character. Though we may have been getting bits and pieces of news about the movie, we now have an official poster thanks to Collider.

Check it out:

Now I like how the Tom Holland Spider-Man has a logo closer to the original design from the comics, but this Miles Morales logo seems to harken back to the longer-legged spider logo that Tobey Maguire had in his Spider-Man films. I also like how the graffiti seems to imply that Miles Morales' webslinger is more of a DIY guy, just building his suit for himself.

As for the movie, the story is still under wraps, but Shameik Moore has been cast as Miles Morales, and Sabertooth actor Liev Schreiber is also attached. Gravity Falls creator Alex Hirsch is a story contributor, as well as Han Solo directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller. The movie will be directed by Bob Persichetti and Peter Ramsey.

The animated Spider-Man movie is set to come out Dec. 21, 2018.
