The time has finally come. The final episode of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 will premiere today and that means we'll finally get to see how the Entertainment District arc will end. But does this mean that Yukaku-hen will end in tragedy considering that the previous episode concluded with the Demon Slayer Corps being caught in a massive explosion caused by Gyutaro's abandoned body? Will Tanjiro Kamado and his companions manage to survive the implied destruction of the Yoshiwara red-light district?
Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 18: Will Tanjiro and Friends Survive The Explosive Cliffhanger From The Previous Episode?
In Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 17, Tanjiro went through a lot as he faced Gyutaro alone. He was tormented by the demon but the young hero continued to fight in an effort to decapitate Gyutaro. Luckily, Tengen Uzui came to his aid while Zenitsu Agatsuma and Inosuke Hashibira faced off against Daki.
It was a major struggle but the Demon Slayer Corps managed to decapitate both Daki and Gyutaro. However, the problem is far from over. Tanjiro had been stabbed in the jaw with Gyutaro's blood sickle and the poison is rapidly spreading in his body. In addition to that, Gyutaro's Blood Demon Art caused his own body to explode and the explosion almost decimates the entire district.
But will they survive this ordeal? Fans are understandably concerned about Tanjiro since the poison could kill him before the explosion does. However, the young hero still has one ally who could save him and the rest of their companions in the Demon Slayer Season 2 finale.
The final episode of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 is titled No Matter How Many Lives ("Nando Umarekawatte mo"), a reference to Chapters 96 and 97 in the manga. The final episode of Yukaku-hen will air on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at 11:15 PM JST.
