The final season of Attack on Titan is officially back with Part 2 and the premiere episode certainly did not disappoint. The latter half of Season 4 immediately got into the action as Reiner Braun got the rematch he's been waiting for with Eren Jaeger. However, the fight is far from over. The Episode 77 preview has confirmed that Eren will need to continue battling it out with Porco Galliard's Jaw Titan as the war wages on!
In Attack on Titan Episode 76, Eren leapt into battle to face off against Reiner. However, the Armored Titan was not alone as Porco immediately joined in the fight. At one point, Eren is incapacitated when Magath fires a new anti-Titan cannon at him and Reiner appears to have won.
So is it over for Eren? The Attack on Titan Episode 77 preview confirms that the fight will continue, this time with Porco making his move. Interestingly, the Titans are not the only ones who will continue to clash (sorry, couldn't resist). Marley's surprise attack may have shocked everyone but people are finally taking up arms to defend their homes despite previously debating whether they should join the action.
The teaser for next week's episode also sets up Eren's reinforcements after what happened in Judgement. The preview concludes with Yelena rejoicing as the Marleyan airships are destroyed. If you've been watching the anime exclusively, we won't tell you how this happens and you'll have to wait until next Sunday (or Monday, for some fans) to find out.
Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2 Episode 2 is titled Sneak Attack ("Damashi Uchi") which is a clear reference to the manga's Chapter 118. The 77th episode of the anime will premiere on Monday, January 17, 2022, at 12:05 AM JST.
