X-Men: Apocalypse Story Featurette Focuses on The Villain's Catastrophic Agendas

20th Century Fox has released a new featurette for X-Men: Apocalypse, and it features commentary by director Bryan Singer.

Singer pretty much sums up what we already know about the film: "Apocalypse gathers his Horsemen and his agendas are catastrophic".

"It's the largest X-Men ever made," he added. "The stakes are higher". Unfortunately, based on some early reviews, it looks like more is less in this case. Watch the featurette:

"Apocalypse is the original mutant and he's decided to take judgment on the world," Michael Fassbender explains. "By recruiting a team of powerful mutants, he wants to wipe out the human race."

Synopsis:

Director Bryan Singer returns with X-Men: Apocalypse. Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto, to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign.

X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters on May 27.
