Watch: How The LEGO Batman Movie Was Incredibly Hard to Animate


The LEGO Batman Movie turned out to be one of the best DC films ever released, and it even received more positive reviews than 2016's Batman v Superman. The WIRED released a new behind-the-scenes video revealing how difficult the animation for The LEGO Movie was. The massive amount of bricks is incredible, and the scale of some of these sets is staggering. Using computer technology to animate LEGO-themed animated films could be time-consuming. The video reveals that a simple scene such as when Robin hit his face on the dashboard took over 45 takes, and the 7-second moment took months to get it right. That's pretty mind-blowing.
