It can't be denied that The Mandalorian has restored the faith of a lot of fans in the Star Wars franchise and the show which revolves around the exploits of the famed bounty hunter Din Djarin and the adorable Force-wielding fellow Grogu aka Baby Yoda continues to grow in popularity.
The folks over at Screen Junkies are at it again with a brand new Honest Trailer focusing on the second season of the hit Star Wars spinoff show. The trailer's voice-over guy may be known for his brutal honesty and savagery but surprisingly (or should I say unsurprisingly), they couldn't find anything to nitpick about.
Instead, they threw shade at other existing Star Wars material, namely the sequel trilogy and compared them to The Mandalorian. The voice-over guy narrates: "either the greatest thing we've ever seen or live-action Star Wars has lowered our expectations so much basic competence feels like seeing the face of God... It's glorious" all while showing clips from the prequels and sequels.
During the middle part of the video, they even tried poking fun at Gina Carano and the current controversies surrounding her, making it seem like her time in the series could be up thanks to the backlash she's been receiving. Check it out here:
Honestly, it's really hard to find fault in the series as it has always been consistent since the beginning. At this point, I think some people are just waiting for it to fail but it almost seems impossible knowing that Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni are taking charge of everything and give credit where credit is due, they clearly know what they're doing.
The third season of The Mandalorian is set to drop in 2022.
