Fans were celebrating Star Wars Day 2 weeks ago, and everyone had been releasing content based on the galaxy far far away. Conan wasn’t able to come up with anything, but on this day—George Lucas’ birthday—they did share this old video of Conan goofing around at Lucasfilm back in 2007.
Check it out:
Take note this was a year after the release of Revenge of the Sith, so you can see that Lucasfilm looked pretty different from what we see on the regular with The Star Wars Show; it’s pretty fun though that the Yoda fountain is still there after all these years.
It’s fun to see Conan goof around as usual, but I have to say I seriously got stressed out when he dropped the AT-AT and tried to put it back together. I don’t know if he was holding the actual prop, but hopefully Lucasfilm had a model that he could actually fiddle with instead.
It’s also great that Conan brought along Jordan Schlansky to verify all of the Star Wars things that they saw. I mean, I knew that Boba Fett has braids on his gear, but I didn’t think that they actually belonged to wookiees; I knew they didn’t belong to slain padawans.
With everything on lockdown, talk show hosts like Conan and Seth Meyers are only left to do interviews online, but I guess with Conan, they have the luxury of publishing archive footage to help give us some extra content.
