Watch: Amazing Animation Reference Video for Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse came out as one of the most celebrated movies of 2018, and a lot of praise has been given for its dazzling animation and amazing heart. What’s interesting is animator Emma Shih has shared this fun video reference compilation which was used to give more realism in the scene restaurant scene between Miles and Peter Parker.

For now, Sony is already planning multiple spinoffs to Spider-Verse including a straight on sequel as well as an all-woman team-up movie with Spider-Gwen. Not to mention there are also rumblings going around on animated series focused on other Spider-People like Spider-Ham and Spider-Man Noir.

If you ask me, Sony should have just focused on this direction as compared to their live-action spinoffs. Sure the Venom movie was a hit in the box office, but it was a critical bomb. Who’s to say the same thing will happen for the other planned spinoffs like Kraven the Hunter or the currently in-production Morbius: The Living Vampire with Jared Leto?

As of now, Sony is pulling focus to the release of Spider-Man: Far from Home which will feature “main” Spider-Man Tom Holland. We don’t know what this movie is building up toward, but it’s expected to be the last film in Marvel’s Infinity Saga storyline. Hopefully it connects to Sony’s planned SUMC as well.

Catch Spider-Man: Far from Home in theaters July 2.
