Star Wars: The Last Jedi Fan Trailer Sets New Standard For Fan Trailers

A fan-made trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi has been posted online, and the video is said to have fooled some fans into thinking that it was the official trailer for the movie. Aside from cleverly using some clips from The Force Awakens, it looks like the people behind the video have even shot their own material for the trailer specifically.

The shots I’m talking about are those of “Rey” practicing with a lightsaber blindfolded and Kylo Ren fighting a bunch of Jedi on a cliff. There’s also a cool shot of Old Man Luke fighting some strangers in the dark with his green saber. What's more, there seems to be some improvised voiceover for Supreme Leader Snoke as well as some shots I'm sure were from the video games.

ScreenRant says that the video comes from an unverified Facebook page, but nevertheless, kudos to the people who made the trailer. Hopefully fan can get an official trailer for The Last Jedi when Star Wars Celebration kicks in this April.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set to hit theaters Dec. 15.
