Fans can now read Dragon Ball Super Chapter 76 and Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Chapter 62 on Viz Media for free, and both are exciting chapters that ended with a surprising rescue.

Here are quick recaps for both chapters:

In Dragon Ball Super Chapter 76, Vegeta and Granolah's fight continues in Planet Cereal, and Goku interferes their fight in an effort to save Vegeta from being killed. Despite Vegeta powering back up to his Ultra Ego form, Granolah is able to overwhelm the Saiyan Prince with his incredible power, and Goku is able to shift his vitals to defend himself against the Cerealian warrior's attacks. Both are exhausted, and when Granolah is about to finish off Vegeta with his giant ki ball, a spaceship piloted by Granolah's A.I., Oatmeel, arrives. Then the Namekian Monaito comes out to tell Granolah that he has the wrong facts, and that a Saiyan named Bardock (Goku's father) saved them a long time ago.

In Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Chapter 62, Boruto tells Naruto that Kawaki managed to get out of Konoha, undetected, and that the presence inside their house is just a shadow doppelganger. After being informed by Eida about Kawaki's whereabouts, Code is able to catch up to him, and tells him about his nefarious plans to cultivate a Chakra Tree and kill those who have killed his god, Isshiki. Kawaki tells Code to kill him instead and leave Konoha alone, but Code says refuses and reveals that he is no longer in his vengeance list. However, Code still plans to take Kawaki to Eida, but before the villain can kidnap him and travel instantly with his claw marks, Boruto kicks him off to save Kawaki.

While the latest chapter of Dragon Ball Super delves more into the past, both chapters end up in a similar way: someone arrives to save the day before things get worse. Although Code apparently doesn't have the intention to kill Kawaki just yet because of Eida's interest in Kawaki, his capture would definitely be too risky for Konoha, and Boruto's timely rescue just shows how heroic he is.

The ending of Dragon Ball Super's latest chapter, however, brings back the nostalgia as Bardock, the father of Goku, is mentioned by Monaito, who apparently knows something about his past. The next chapter will likely reveal more details about Bardock and his connection to the Cerealian race.
