Wolverine 3 Could Be Rated R

With the success of Deadpool in all its R-rated glory at the box office, it won't come as a shock if other comic book films would follow the trend. One such film is Wolverine 3.

During Fox's Toy Fair this week, a pamphlet revealed an anticipated R-rating for the third and final Wolverine film.

While the details of the photo looks clear as day, it doesn't necessarily mean that Wolverine 3 will be score an R-rating. The decision would still be up to the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America).

While the film's rating remains to be seen, it seems that Fox is planning a more brutal and graphic final Wolverine installment.

I must say I wouldn't mind seeing an R-rated Wolverine film. Apart from being more faithful to the comics, such a rating would mean more raw action scenes and dialogues, which I absolutely loved from Deadpool.

Other details about the project are still unknown, but it's been known for some time now that Sir Patrick Stewart, who played Professor X in the previous X-Men films, will be part of the film. The 75-year-old actor made the announcement last August. Of course Hugh Jackman will also appear in the film.

Wolverine 3 is slated for release on March 3, 2017.
