It feels as if it has been ages since WandaVision originally aired but eagle-eyed fans had been buzzing around lately as they noticed that there have been some changes in the finale's post-credits scene and an additional name on the credits. It appears to be edited and some even theorized that a popular character made a cameo. What do these alterations mean?

Albeit short, this post-credit scene holds so much importance as it shows Wanda finally getting ahold of the Darkhold and studying it. This alone sets the stage for what is to come next for Wanda, her future in the MCU, and even that of her children, Billy and Tommy.

When it first aired, everyone was shocked to see two versions of Wanda Maximoff being in a secluded portion somewhere where there is a lake surrounded by mountains: one is sitting out on the porch drinking some hot beverage wearing an outfit fitting for the weather and the other floating in mid-air reading the Darkhold complete with her all-new comic-book accurate suit.

As the scene pans, we see the quiet life of Wanda in the snowy woods and as it approaches the one inside the room reading, the voices of Billy and Tommy call out for their mom before the scene cuts to black.

Substantially, it may or may not have changed anything, except the fact that some people are gushing over speculation that a floating shadowy figure was coming down the mountains to the secluded cabin is Doctor Strange visiting Wanda. Throughout the series, he has been a candidate for a cameo, and yet, the series ended without him even making a split-second appearance.

This edited version, though, has been debated over by hundreds or thousands of fans on the internet whether it was just some editing mistake or indeed a human-like figure descending the mountains to visit Wanda. A filmmaker on Reddit u/Cinephobe published a short explainer that such was just an editing mistake but there are, indeed, changes like more trees and some digitally removed duck. Still, other fans are convinced that it is Doctor Strange coming.

If it is Doctor Strange, then it would be setting up his upcoming sequel Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness as Wanda has been confirmed to be involved in the said film. It would also make the fans who have been theorizing his cameo really satisfied as, despite the delay, their speculations must've come true.

But if and when it is just some editing mistake, it is a little something to let go and just appreciate the fact that more of nature was added into the picture and the beautiful location has been highlighted more.

But wait, there is more!

The composer of Doctor Strange, Michael Giacchino, has recently been added to the credits as one of the composers of the series despite his name not being present when WandaVision originally aired. In a report from IGN, WandaVision director Matt Shakman confirmed that Giacchino was really added to the credits because the post-credit scene used the Doctor Strange theme but was left uncredited during the original airing of the show.

They're just giving the credits to whom the credit is due.

WandaVision is currently available on Disney+.
