Trailer for First Star Wars Virtual Reality Game Reportedly Leaked

Virtual reality and Star Wars when combined can be very dangerous. Well, dangerous in a good way since it's guaranteed to drive fans crazy happy.

Fortunately, it won't have to be too long before people can experience an actual Star Wars virtual reality game.

The trailer for a Star Wars VR game titled Star Wars: Trials on Tatooine might have been leaked on YouTube by ILMVisualFX channel, according to Engagdet.

The trailer had been shared as public but it was later set to private.

Trials on Tatooine is a project being developed by LucasFilm's Industrial Light and Magic Experience Lab (ILMxLAB). The project, which has been in the works for some time now, was initially pegged for release alongside Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Since it was a tie-in project with HTC's Vive headset, the release for Trials on Tatooine had been delayed.

There's no way of seeing the trailer publicly anymore, but some really awesome people in the Internet managed to take screenshots of the trailer.

The screenshots aren't much, but it's proof that the trailer does exist and the game could only be released any time soon.

Vive is due to finish on April 5, therefore Trials on Tatooine could be released before or near the launch. The official unveiling of the game is expected to take place sometime during the Game Developers Conference (GDC) to be held starting today, March 14, to 18 because HTC Vive will be released after the conference.

To be exact, the Star Wars VR game announcement is expected to take place during Industrial Light and Magic Experience Lab's developer session tomorrow around 17:30 PT. Titled Immersive Cinema: Stories from the Experiments Underway at Lucasfilm's ILMxLAB, the company will be discussing experiments in progress. It's highly likely that Trials on Tatooine will be revealed there.
