Wong Confirmed To Return In Avengers: Endgame

Captain America (Chris Evans), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) are going to need all the help they can get in their mission to undo Thanos' dusty massacre and it looks like another Avenger is going to be there to join the fight.

Speaking in an interview with Collider,Doctor Strange star Benedict Wong confirms the return of his character in Avengers: Endgame. The first installment in Joe and Anthony Russo's two-part Avengers movie might have left Wong's fate up in the air, but now with the actor's confirmation, it seems like Doctor Strange's (Benedict Cumberbatch) assistant might actually have a role to play in the fight against Thanos in Endgame.

"Yeah, there was a time when I was doing Avengers 4," revealed Wong. "Normally it would be a logistical nightmare with the hair and negotiating that, but it's great. I'm grateful to be on a double Russo Brothers production. It was streamlined."

Like Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) and other secondary characters, there's very little information on whether Wong actually survived the massacre that Thanos inflicted on the universe in Infinity War. While Wong did appear during the first act of the film in the fight against the Children of Thanos, the character disappeared later on so that he could guard the Sanctum Sanctorum.

Hopefully, this confirmation from Benedict Wong means that the character actually survived the snappening, giving the Avengers another hand to help in the fight against the Mad Titan Thanos.

Avengers: Endgame hits cinemas April 26, 2019.
