The Defenders Brings The Entire Marvel Netflix Cast In The Same Room Together

Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock, Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones, Mike Colter's Luke Cage and Finn Jones' Iron Fist aren't the only one's getting together in Marvel TV's highly anticipated superhero mash-up series, The Defenders.

The Marvel Netflix crossover series is also bringing together the supporting characters of the four different Marvel TV solo series for one epic mash-up, and Jessica Henwick who plays Collen Wing in Iron Fist is as excited as ever.

Speaking at the San Diego Comic Con last month (via CBR), the Marvel TV star geeks out about the different Marvel Netflix casts coming together in The Defenders.

"I'm excited just for fans to see characters interact that have never interacted before! I'm not even just talking about the four leads. I'm also talking about the ensemble cast, which — most of them have been announced, I think. There's a scene which has all of us — the whole cast in the same room — and that was crazy, and a lot of fun. So that's what I'm excited for people to see, and it's sort of towards the end of the show, I'd say."

Henwick also confirms a meeting between Colleen and Simone Missick's Misty Knight in the upcoming crossover series.

"I did just say there's a scene which has all of us in the same room, so it is possible that Colleen and Misty may approach one another and start talking to each other," Henwick said. "I know the fans want it. It was actually part of the reason why I loved Colleen when I started researching the role and I saw Daughters of the Dragon and what that was, it's unlike anything that's on TV. It's unlike anything I've seen, as far as I know. Yes. I think fans will be happy."

Knowing how Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist all share the same universe, it's not a surprise that the two might meet, but this new tidbit by Henwick certainly does reveal how Misty Knight's being eased into the second season of Iron Fist.

The Defenders makes its big premiere on August 18 on Netflix.
