Suicide Squad Director David Ayer Praises Marvel’s Film Process

David Ayer might have directed for DC, however, the filmmaker behind Suicide Squad has a whole lot of respect for Marvel and the studio's way of making movies.

Taking to Twitter to respond to a fan saying that Ayer has more creative integrity than filmmakers under the Marvel Cinematic Universe forced to follow the studio's specifications, the filmmaker defends Marvel and its process when it makes films.

According to Ayer, Marvel Studios has a pretty intelligent way of developing films.

"Marvel is pretty smart they account for additional photography in the process. They assemble after principle and then rip it apart again and reshoot. It's a smart way to structure process," the filmmaker says in his tweet.

It turns out that making a Marvel movie isn't all that easy. Marvel directors have opened up about the process behind the development of Marvel movies over the years, and it turns out that the studio doesn't follow a simple formula when it comes to the production of its films.

Marvel movie-making is an ongoing process where the studio constantly assesses a movie's footage in the editing room. That way, Marvel doesn't make mistakes in changing key scenes and enforcing reshoots.

It's a pretty great process, one that helps Marvel so that it can release at least two or three films a year.

Marvel has experienced a whole lot of success with the films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Not only has the studio been able to produce groundbreaking movies like Black Panther, but it's also been able to develop films like Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame which both serve as a challenge in terms of production and scheduling.
