Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’s John Boyega Wants to Rekindle Oscar Isaac Bromance

The Star Wars sequel trilogy might be coming to an end this month when Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker finally premieres, but John Boyega still wants to keep the bromance between his character Finn, and Oscar Isaac's character Poe Dameron, alive and burning.

Taking to Instagram and Twitter last weekend, Boyega decided to share a video of himself writing a loving letter to his The Rise of Skywalker co-star about how they should keep a strong bond the same way their onscreen characters keep theirs.

Sitting at a desk using a quill pen and ink, Boyega creates a romantic atmosphere as he writes his letter to Isaac.

"My dearest Oscar, I hope this letter finds you well," the actor narrates in the video, "It's been a fortnight since we last spoke, and I must admit that I've missed you so. As I sit and reflect upon the adventures of Finn and Poe, I'm struck with anguish that John and Oscar have not been afforded the same caliber of companionship."

It's a cute and hilarious bit. Boyega has been supportive of the Finn x Poe pairing ever since it sprung forth from the recesses of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Fans liked reading into the moments that the character shared in the film, and they've continued to hope to see more of Finn and Poe together in the following entries of the sequel trilogy. There might not have been that much time for Finn and Poe to cozy up together in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, but there might be some Finn x Poe moments for fans in The Rise of Skywalker.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker premieres December 20, 2019.
