Star Wars Leaks Reveal a Mark Hamill New Jedi Order Series

Now that Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is screening in cinemas, Star Wars fans can only continue to wonder about the future of the franchise. The Skywalker saga has finally come to an end. What's does Lucasfilm have planned next?

While we do know that Disney plans to give the Star Wars film franchise a bit of time to rest now that the sequel trilogy has finally come to an end, there are rumors going around saying that the study is planning multiple projects for the galaxy far, far away, and that includes an animated series featuring Luke Skywalker trying to build a new Jedi Order.

According to Cosmic Book News, there are new leaks that reveal the upcoming Star Wars series and films from Lucasfilm. Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson is reportedly developing his own Star Wars trilogy titled the Offspring of the Jedi, a project dependent on the success of Episode IX. Lucasfilm is also planning on producing a new standalone movie titled The Glare of Thrawn, a film which is set to feature Grand Admiral Thrawn, an expanded universe character that's been added into Star Wars canon thanks to Dave Filoni's Star Wars animated series, Star Wars Rebels.

These leaks also suggest that Lucasfilm is bringing back Dave Filoni to develop a brand new Star Wars animated series called New Jedi Order. This series will follow Luke Skywalker as he tries to repair the Jedi Order, and according to the report, Lucasfilm wants Mark Hamill to return and voice his legendary character.

Of course, as exciting as these leaks may seem, readers ought to be reminded to take the report with a grain of salt. We can't really be sure of the legitimacy of these projects until Lucasfilm makes an official announcement.
