Star Wars Fans May Have Missed the Darkest Easter Egg in Empire Strikes Back

Star Wars has a lot of great Easter Eggs to various moments in the franchise, however, one of the Darkest Star Wars Nods may have gone unnoticed by fans.

According to Looper, Star Wars fans may have missed one of the heaviest Easter Eggs in the Skywalker Saga, and that's Yoda's hut in Dagobah.

At the end of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, after the Jedi fall at the hands of Emperor Palpatine executing Order 66, fans get to see Yoda getting in his escape pod to hid from the Sith and the new Empire.

Of course, everyone knows that Yoda makes his way to Dagobah where he eventually dies, but what fans don't know is that the Jedi Master actually built his hut from the same escape pod that he used to leave the planet Kashyk in Revenge of the Sith. Showing off an image breaking down Yoda's little home in Dagobah, Looper points out that Yoda's hut in The Empire Strikes Back isn't just made of sticks and mud but parts of the very pod that he escaped in after the Jedi lost everything to the sith.

You can check out the image down here:

The illustration comes from Richard Chasemore and Hans Jenssen and is featured in Inside the Worlds of Star Wars Trilogy: The Ultimate Guide to the Incredible Locations of Episodes IV, V, and VI.

If you take a close look at the cutaway of Yoda's hut, you'll notice how its entrance is entirely metallic – quite different from most of the structure. Not only that, but the hut oddly has the same shape as Yoda's pod.

If anything, this image reveals how Yoda decided to live with parts of the pod reminding him of his failings and the failings of the Jedi. Now that's heavy, wouldn't you agree?

The Skywalker saga is available for streaming on Disney+.
