Star Wars: Episode IX Leak Blames Leia’s Discontinued Jedi Training On Kylo Ren

Star Wars fans might have long since known that like her twin brother Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), Leia (the late Carrie Fisher) is also strong with the Force. However, unlike Luke, Leia doesn't really pursue any type of training with the Force, continuing her path as a Rebel leader and as a diplomat.

While we've already seen Leia take her place in Lucasfilm's sequel trilogy as a general of the Resistance, new rumors suggest that Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will actually include a scene of Leia train together with Luke as well as a scene explaining why the Star Wars princess had to give up her training as a Jedi.

According to a post by Redditor u/JediPaxis (a Star Wars fan who's been known to provide rather reputable leaks to the Star Wars fanbase), Star Wars: Episode IX is going to show a scene where Leia trains together with Luke to become a Jedi. However, at the end of the training, Leia ends up revealing to Luke that she is pregnant with Kylo Ren. Leia then decides to end her Jedi training to prepare for the birth of her son.

This report by Jedi Paxis is very similar to the leak being spread by Making Star Wars – the only key difference here is that this rumor explains why Leia gives up the path of Jedi. It's an interesting theory. We can see Leia giving up the opportunity to become a Jedi so that she can raise her son. It would also help flesh out Leia's relationship with Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), adding even more weight to the disappointment that Leia felt when Kylo ended up turning to the Dark Side after his training with Luke (Mark Hamill).
