Star Wars Babu Frik Actress was Just Adorable as the Droidsmith on The Rise of Skywalker Set

It turns out that Babu Frik actress Shirley Henderson was just as loveable as the Anzellan droidsmith.

Star Wars lead visual effects artist Neal Scanlan just recently spoke in an interview with FanSided to discuss his most recent work on Lucasfilm's latest release, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

Opening up about his work as a creature designer for the galaxy far, far away, Scanlan got to talking about Babu Frik, the diminutive but adorable droidsmith that helped unlock C-3PO's ability to translate Sith language.

The visual effects artist also discussed Babu Frink actress Shirley Henderson, revealing how the Harry Potter actress (she played Moaning Myrtle in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets) kept the crew laughing while working on the set of Episode IX.

"We really enjoyed that shoot very much. And she would make us giggle, and you'd sort of have to almost tell yourself sometimes, ‘Hold, hold, hold! Still yourself!' through the shoot," Scanlan revealed.

It isn't difficult to see why the people working on The Rise of Skywalker would have trouble keeping their faces straight while Henderson played Babu Frik. The droidsmith is just downright adorable when he rambles – Babu became an instant fan-favorite character when he appeared in the third and final sequel trilogy movie.

Babu Frik doesn't have that many scenes though. The droidsmith only comes into the film when Rey (Daisy Ridley), Finn (John Boyega), Poe (Oscar Isaac) and C-3PO arrive on the planet of Kijimi.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is available on Digital HD. The movie is set to release on Blu-Ray, DVD, and 4K UHD on March 31.
