Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse’s Producers Talk Potential Spider-Ham Spinoffs

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse swung into cinemas as a certified hit for Sony, and while the film's success isn't that much of a shocker, it seems like the planned spinoffs for the movie might come as a surprise.

John Mulaney's Spider-Ham came out as one of the fan favorites in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse and it looks like Sony Pictures might actually want a spinoff with the slobbery but efficient Spider Pig. Speaking in an interview with Vanity Fair,Into the Spiderverse producer Amy Pascal was asked about potential spinoffs, one of which focuses on Spider-Ham.

Pascal was more than enthusiastic about the idea, saying that children would love to see more of the porky Spider-Ham.

"Of course!" the Sony producer told the publication. "You can imagine how much the kids love that character."

Into the Spider-Verse co-producer, Avi Arad had the same sentiments, echoing Pascal's enthusiasm saying that "Yeah. We want piggy."

The film's main producers, Phil Lord, and Chris Miller also had the same thoughts, telling ComicBook.com about future projects that they'd want to do with Spider-Ham in mind.

"I'd love to see a string of Spider-Ham shorts," Miller told the news outlet.

Lord couldn't help but agree, though it seems like he'd want an entire universe of Spider-Ham fun.

"I just want to Spider-Ham's shorts," Lord said, laughing. "I want to spin off the Spider-Ham cinematic television universe."

While we're not quite sure whether a full Spider-Ham movie would do Sony any good, we're fairly certain that the character would do particularly well on the small screen, especially if Sony were to create a series for the character.

What do you think? Where would you want to see Spider-Ham again?
