See More Of Ahch-To In New Star Wars: The Last Jedi BTS Video

Sure there might be a certain faction of the Star Wars fanbase that's complaining to no end about how Star Wars: The Last Jedi has destroyed the franchise's lore by trying to subvert expectations, however there's no doubting the fact that the sequel trilogy installment added a lot to the Star Wars universe.

Not only did the film bring in fresh new faces to the galaxy far, far away, it also added depth to new ships, new weapons, new creatures, and new planets. Fans only caught a few glimpses of Ahch-To in The Force Awakens however The Last Jedi gave fans a better look at the planet that Luke (Mark Hamill) was hiding in after the betrayal of his nephew and apprentice, Ben Solo (Adam Driver).

Now that The Last Jedi's finishing up its second week in cinemas, Discover Ireland has released an exclusive Behind-The-Scenes video of the film's Ahch-To production in Ireland.

Check it out down here:

"It's like fairytale world, with the sheep and the cows and the pastures and the ocean. You just can't believe your eyes," Mark Hamill commented.

Rian Johnson really did his best to get the best spots for The Last Jedi. Most of the Ahch-To scenes were shot on a bird sanctuary UNESCO heritage cite, so the production had only 2 days to shoot on location. It's hard to understand how fans can't appreciate the effort brought into producing such a beautiful Star Wars movie.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is currently screening in cinemas.
