Marvel Reportedly Offering Wolverine Role Back To Hugh Jackman

Hugh Jackman might be standing his ground saying that he's already retired from his role as the X-Men's Wolverine, but it seems like there are rumors going around saying that Marvel is hoping to entice the Australian actor to put up his claws again for a Wolverine vs. Hulk movie.

TVO from the Lords of the Long Box channel has been posting quite a number of Marvel rumors as of late, and according to one of the YouTuber's most recent reports, Marvel is hoping to cast Hugh Jackman again as Wolverine.

According to TVO, Marvel knows that Jackman has no intention of coming out of his retirement as Wolverine, however, the studio is still planning to offer the actor the role anyway.

"It's Hugh Jackman's part to turn down," the Marvel leaker says, "They are leaving the door open for him."

Of course, as exciting as this rumor might be, it's very likely that Jackman may end up turning down the offer. The 50-year-old actor might seem fit, however, the actor has said that he's always felt like he was too old to unleash his adamantium claws again.

These rumors about a Wolverine vs. Hulk movie also seem rather unlikely. Marvel has yet to announce its plans for the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, and the rest of the mutant heroes that the studio has acquired from Disney's merger with Fox. Right now, Marvel seems to be focusing on aligning Phase 4 and Phase 5 of the MCU. This leaves the studio with very little room to introduce the X-Men.

What do you think of these new Wolverine rumors? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below.

Phase 4 of the MCU begins with Black Widow which premieres on May 1, 2020.
