Marvel Fans Outraged Over Avengers: Endgame’s Box Office Snub

Avengers: Endgame might have been the largest and most successful Marvel film to date, however, the ambitious superhero crossover movie didn't gain that much recognition at the Oscars this year. The film was nominated for only one category during the 92nd Academy Awards and even then, Endgame failed to win the award.

Last weekend, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences gave the Best Visual Effects award to Sam Mendes' British epic war movie 1917, snubbing the highest-grossing movie of all time, Avengers: Endgame.

Taking to social media, Marvel fans expressed their outrage over the Academy's decision to give the award to 1917. The final entry in Joe and Anthony Russo's two-part Avengers movie was littered with epic computer-generated graphics. Fans couldn't understand why the film didn't win the award for Best Visual Effects.

We do understand the outrage Marvel fans are feeling over the Oscar snub. Fans have the right to believe that Endgame deserved to win the award more than 1917. Endgame was an epic comic book movie of outstanding proportions. Imagine having to squeeze in thirty-six major characters in one blockbuster movie. Not to mention the film's epic battle sequence that brought in what seemed to be more than fifty major characters and hundreds of characters in battle. The Russo brothers put so much work into bringing that battle sequence to life.

How about you? How do you feel about Endgame's Oscar snub? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below.

Avengers: Endgame is available on DVD, Blu-Ray, and Digital HD.
