Thanos might have been pretty powerful with all six Infinity Stones in Avengers: Infinity War, but the Avengers could have had a fighting chance at beating the Mad Titan had Thor (Chris Hemsworth) had Mjolnir with him.

Marvel fans know that Thor’s hammer was destroyed by his sister Hela (Cate Blanchett) in Thor: Ragnarok, and so for most of Infinity War, the Asgardian God of Thunder had to spend time traveling to Nidavellier to create a new hammer called Stormbreaker.

However, according to a Marvel fan on Reddit, Thor could have very well beaten Thanos using a simple and quick movie.

Check it out down here:

Some fans might take it as a joke, but Thor would have probably been able to beat Thanos in the movie if Mjolnir were there to weight the Mad Titan down. The presence of the hammer would have also allowed the Asgardian God of Thunder to use his powers earlier on in the movie, preventing the massacre on the Asgardian ship during the first act of Infinity War.

Unfortunately for Thor, Hela did destroy his hammer, damning the Asgardians and Thor’s brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston) in the first installment in Marvel’s two-part Avengers movie. Thor had to struggle to create the Stormbreaker, and once the Avenger finally had it, Thor missed Thanos heart, allowing him to snap his fingers and wipe out half of the universe’s living population.

"I would argue that the fan base could be equally upset with Thor, who chose to throw that ax into Thanos' chest and not his head," Infinity War director Joe Russo told "Because he wanted to tell Thanos that he got his revenge."

Unfortunately, it was this desire for revenge that let Thanos slip past his hands, not only allowing the Mad Titan to escape, but to also turn half of the universe into dust. We wonder just how Thor is going to make it up to everyone when Avengers 4 hits the big screen.

Avengers 4 premieres May 3, 2019.
