Lucasfilm Launching Star Wars Celebration Store This Weekend

The organizers of this year's Star Wars Celebration may have had to postpone the Star Wars convention to 2022 because of the global COVID-19 pandemic, however, it seems like Star Wars fans still have something to look forward to this weekend.

Lucasfilm is unloading major Star Wars merchandise in a brand new Star Wars Celebration online store. According to a report by StarWars.com, Lucasfilm is opening up an online shop for this year's canceled Star Wars Celebration, allowing fans access to goodies originally slated for release at the Star Wars fan event.

Star Wars fans who've purchased tickets to the 2020 Celebration (including those who asked a full refund for their purchase) can all head on to StarWarsCelebration.com starting Friday, August 28th at 12 pm ET to get access to the online store.

Once the weekend is over, Star Wars fans without any tickets to Celebration can head on to StarWarsCelebration.com starting Monday, August 31, 12 pm ET, to get their share of Star Wars goodies.

Lucasfilm's official Star Wars website has put up a sneak-peak of what StarWarsCelebration.com has to offer, and it looks like fans are getting exclusive shirts, stuffies, and other great Star Wars merchandise.

Right now, we're not quite sure how many companies will be releasing their products online on StarWarsCelebration.com this weekend – after all, the organizers of Celebration did announce the event's cancellation in June. Vendors must have jumped ship then. Let's wait and see what kind of surprise Lucasfilm might have to offer.

The Skywalker saga is available for streaming on Disney+.
