Kurt Russell Kept Mistaking Star-Lord for Star Wars While Filming GOTG 2

It looks like Kurt Russell had an adorable pet-name for his onscreen son in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

James Gunn has always been active on social media, and in the filmmaker's latest series of tweets about his films, the Guardians of the Galaxy director reveals some of the interesting quirks on the set of the Marvel movie.

Joining the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 watch party, Gunn decided to give a few details about the shenanigans that went on behind the scenes of the film.

"Kurt Russell kept calling @prattprattpratt "Star Wars" instead of Star-Lord in this scene. He couldn't get it out of his head!" the director wrote on Twitter.

It's an adorable mistake, one that's been immortalized in an outtake of the movie that fans can see on the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Blu-Ray. This story is just one of the many fun anecdotes and behind-the-scenes moments that Gunn has shared with fans during the Guardians watch party. Chris Pratt, Pom Klementieff, Sean Gunn, and Steve Agee have all been pretty open about sharing fun details about the production of GOTG 2 too.

Right now, fans are gearing up for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Gunn and his creative team seem to be working on the pre-production of the film, though the director is currently preoccupied with working on the DC Extended Universe movie, The Suicide Suad.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has yet to receive a release date but we'll update fans as soon as we get word.
