Joker Fans Believe Parasite Robs Best Picture Award at Oscars

Parasite might have made history by being the very first foreign language film to win Best Picture at the Oscars, however, it seems like Joker fans aren't too happy that the Oscar didn't go to Todd Phillip's character study of Gotham's Clown Prince of Crime.

Taking to Twitter, DC fans hoping to see Joker win the Best Picture nomination are going on and on about what makes the comic book movie the best choice at this year's Oscars. To some fans, the Joker movie was robbed of the recognition it seemingly deserved.

Check out some of the posts that fans have been sharing on Twitter:

It's interesting to see Joker fans rallying behind the film. Before its release, the Joker was met with controversy with groups calling out the film for its gratuitous violence, worrying that the movie would incite violence. Now it looks like fans are all coming behind Joker to support the film.

While it is rather disappointing to hear that Joker failed to win Best Picture at the Oscars, the movie did manage to bring home a few other awards from the Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences. Not only was Joaquin Phoenix given the Best Actor Award from the Academy, but it also managed to win the Best Original Music Score award at the Oscars. It's still a great day for the comic book movie genre, really.

What do you think? Was Joker really robbed of the opportunity to win Best Picture at the Oscars? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below.
