Here’s Captain Marvel’s Runtime On The Big Screen

Marvel might be particularly careful when it comes to releasing information about its upcoming projects, but somehow details about films like Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame still manage to make their way online.

One of the most recent leaks involves the studio's very first female-led standalone film, Captain Marvel. AMC Theaters has just listedCaptain Marvel on its website and app as one of the cinema chain's upcoming movie, and in its page, the site includes a few details about the upcoming comic book movie. Not only does AMC theatres provide a brief synopsis to Brie Larson's debut as the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Carol Danvers, but the site also gives away Captain Marvel's runtime.

How long is the film, you ask? Around 2 hours and 11 minutes.

That's a pretty standard runtime for a Marvel movie, coming in between Iron Man 3 and its 2-hour 11-minute long screening and Captain America: The First Avenger which ran at 2 hours and 4 minutes on the big screen time.

This runtime for Captain Marvel might seem a bit disappointing to fans after Avengers: Infinity War's parade that lasted at a whopping 2 hours and 40 minutes, but the information could change over time. AMC could be using a placeholder runtime for its listing. After all, the film is still two months away from its release. The runtime could fluctuate anytime between now and March. We'll just have to cross our fingers and hope for a few more minutes of Captain Marvel goodness.

Captain Marvel premieres March 8, 2019.
