Hayden Christensen Reportedly Appearing in Future Star Wars Projects

Last year, there were rumors going around saying that Star Wars prequel trilogy actor Hayden Christensen would be reprising his role as Anakin Skywalker for a short cameo in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

While the alleged cameo never materialized in The Rise of Skywalker, there are still reports saying that Anakin Skywalker may very well appear in future Star Wars projects.

According to We Got This Covered, there may be room for Christensen in Lucasfilm's small screen Star Wars universe. Sure, Lucasfilm might be ready to move on from the Skywalker saga now that the sequel trilogy's come to an end, but the studio is developing a few spinoff stories, one featuring Ewan McGregor's Obi-Wan Kenobi, and the other featuring Rogue One: A Star Wars Story's courageous Captain Cassian Andor.

Sources have reportedly told the entertainment news site that Christensen would get the opportunity to make a comeback in a flashback in Lucasfilm's Obi-Wan Kenobi series. The recently-delayed Star Wars project is allegedly going to include flashbacks to events in George Lucas' Star Wars prequel trilogy – scenes that will be used to add more depth to the connection between Anakin and Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Of course, as exciting as this new report might be, we remind fans to take it all with a large grain of salt. Rumors like these are a dime a dozen. We'll have to wait for evidence to prove that Anakin will really get a few flashback sequences in Obi-Wan Kenobi.

The Skywalker saga is available for streaming on Disney+.
