Aquaman Final Cut Reactions Are In And The Reviews Are Incredible

Aquaman might have a few weeks till its big premiere in December but it looks like Warner Brothers just recently held a screening of the final version of Jason Momoa's first standalone movie as Arthur Curry and now reactions to the final cut have finally made their way online.

DC fans started expressing concern over the comic book movie when early screening reactions of Aquaman branded it a so-so movie with many comparing the film to a Phase 1 entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Now, the reviews seem a whole lot brighter, with one Redditor claiming that the film just might be one of the most well-received entries in the DC Extended Universe. Comparing Aquaman to recent Marvel movies like Thor: Ragnarok and Ant-Man and the Wasp, this fan who neither confirms or denies seeing the film says that the DCEU installment would probably be enjoyed by many in theatres.

Check out the review down here:

"I cannot confirm or deny that I've seen this movie but if I had I would probably say that it's certainly going to be their most well-received movie yet. It's tone closely parallels Ant-man & The Wasp and Thor: Ragnarok and this movie will be liked by the biggest audience, although it will probably suffer from some criticism that it deviates heavily from the original tone of the DCEU to more closely resemble The MCU. But again I reiterate, this would only be my opinion if I had somehow already seen the movie in an advanced screening, which I am not saying I have done."

Fans who've taken to Twitter to react to what they've seen in Aquaman have also given largely positive reviews, with many saying that the film has become their top DC movie and that it has become "a major achievement in filmmaking and storytelling."

Here are some of the tweets about the final cut of Aquaman:

These reviews are definitely a good sign for the DCEU. The franchise has been struggling to find its footing ever since it first started out with Man of Steel and Batman v Superman. Sure, the DCEU might have enjoyed relative success after Wonder Woman, but after the poor reception of Justice League fans just needed another win. Hopefully, that win is going to be Aquaman.

Aquaman comes swimming into cinemas December 21, 2018.
