There’s a Good Reason to Watch Game of Thrones Until the Final Episodes

Game of Thrones has held a certain appeal as a TV series and made a niche of its own as a drama-action-adventure series. At first glance, it's a show about warring families, where betrayal, controversy, wit, and a lot of drama take centerstage. Digging deeper, we see the greed of some, the hope of others, and the apparent previous blindness at the real threat, which is the coming of winter and its undead inhabitants.

At the heart of it, however, what Game of Thrones is actually telling as a story is not as cut in stone. At least this is the understanding of one of its actors, John Bradley who plays Samwell Tarly, loyal friend and ally to Jon Snow.

Speaking to Digital Spy, Bradley revealed that based on the way the show is going, the real depth and meaning of Game of Thrones as a story will be clearer once it hits the final few episodes slated for 2018.

"It's interesting thinking about the end of Game of Thrones. Because we don't know how it ends—we don't know how wins or who loses—we've got no idea what kind of story we're telling. We don't know if it's an indictment of how bad people can triumph if good men do nothing, or a redemptive story about good triumphing over evil. We just don't know, so that mystery has fed in to everything we've done so far."

This is very much true—we need only look at Cersei (Lena Headey) to wonder if there will ever come a time when true evil will pay the price. After all, a Lannister always pays his debts, and in terms of very bad juju, Cersei is already way in the red. Just when you thought that Walk of Shame will be the end of her horrific ways, that season six finale blast shows us that we probably barely scratched the surface of Cersei's evil ways.

Game of Thrones will be back for its seventh season in summer 2017. As for Bradley, he will be doing seven remaining episodes for Game of Thrones this year.
