The Case Study of Vanitas Episode 10 Recap

Noé meets a man named Vanitas, after the original creator of the grimoire, who claims to be a human doctor for vampires, using the book to heal them from the corruption of their true name, which makes them predators against their will. Noé and Vanitas join forces, but the first episode ends with Noé admitting that he had to kill Vanitas by the end of their joint journey.

The 24-episode anime will run in two cours of 12 episodes each.

Warning: Spoilers for Vanitas no Karte Episode 10!

Vanitas pretends to be compliant and happy to see Dr. Moreau in order to put him at ease and have him reveal his plans. It appears that Moreau experimented horrifically on both humans and vampires, as he wants to be a vampire himself.

At a certain point, Noé can't stand hearing the doctor speaking anymore, so he attacks, followed by Roland and the Chasseurs. However, the doctor is rescued by a many-eyed creature, Spider. He then escapes, leaving them all at the mercy of a vampire bearing a malnomen curse that makes him devour anything that lives.

Vanitas believes it's a lost cause but Noé insists that the vampire can be cured, so he and Vanitas go into the monster's maw, and eventually heal it. Noé and Vanitas finally escape the dungeons, but things will be tough for them from now on. With their new, heartwarming dynamic, we'd love to see where they will go next!
