Did the episode leave you wanting more? If so, we got you covered. In the sections below, you will find our handy guide to Vanitas no Karte Episode 10, including its release date and time, and a recap of the last episode!

The Case Study of Vanitas Episode 9 Recap

Vanitas no Karte is based on a manga of the same name and follows Noé, a young vampire in search of the Book of Vanitas. This grimoire was reportedly made by Vanitas, a vampire of the Blue Moon, who was despised by the vampires of the Red Moon - the traditional vampire society.

Noé meets a man named Vanitas, after the original creator of the grimoire, who claims to be a human doctor for vampires, using the book to heal them from the corruption of their true name, which makes them predators against their will. Noé and Vanitas join forces, but the first episode ends with Noé admitting that he had to kill Vanitas by the end of their joint journey.

The 24-episode anime will run in two cours of 12 episodes each.

Warning: Spoilers for Vanitas no Karte Episode 9!

Roland prepared to kill a weakened Noé but, upon finding out Vanitas' identity, he immediately becomes soft and sweet; you can say he's a fan. As it turns out, the vampire hunter believes that Vanitas is an innocent human whom vampires exploit.

At the last possible moment, Noé and Vanitas manage to escape, and they hide in the dungeons. Roland is found by his comrades, Maria and Georges. As they look for the intruders, along with other Chausseurs, they're shocked to find that Noé and Vanitas have managed to corrupt their automatons using the book of Vanitas. Not only that, but they also behave as if they know the place really well.

Soon, we find out that this isn't exactly wrong. Indeed, Vanitas used to live with the Chausseurs once. In a rare moment of raw honesty, he tells Noé that vampires killed his parents when he was young, so the Chausseurs took him in and intended to bring him up as one of their own.

That plan didn't go through, however, as Vanitas was discovered by Dr. Moreau, a scientist who was kicked out of the Chausseur order and experimented on people - Vanitas included. Vanitas subsequently ran away and spent two years hiding in the dungeons.

Noé and Vanitas come across Maria and manage to subdue her. Vanitas wants to keep her hostage, but when the duo fails to reach an agreement, Noé has a different idea. Pretending very realistically to hold Vanitas captive, he manages to immobilize Roland, who can't bear the thought of Vanitas dying. Then, Noé politely introduces himself and his cause, as one does.

Even more surprisingly, Roland is glad to work with Noé as he's fascinated to meet a vampire who isn't afflicted by the malnomen curse. After much discussion, they reach the conclusion that Dr. Moreau might have something to do with the vampire disappearances since the Chasseurs only hunt ones who are corrupted beyond saving.

The party finds the Doctor, who is a much too excited to see Vanitas again. Vanitas merely looks traumatized by the reunion, but only for a moment. Then, he returns Moreau's enthusiasm. What does he have in mind then? Stay tuned to find out!
