Suicide Squad's Deadshot Interested to Join Gotham City Sirens

The all-girl group movie Gotham City Sirens may see a manly assassin joining the cast. That is, if Will Smith's wish comes to pass.

Smith, who played the role of Floyd Lawton, also known as Deadshot, in Suicide Squad has expressed his interest in being part of the film in an interview with MTV.

"I'd definitely love to be in it. I love Margot Robbie. I will do, like, anything she wants to do."

This might be asking for too much though, since it's already been confirmed that the studio is also looking to develop a solo Deadshot movie. Sure, he can be used as a way to connect the two together. But let's face it, Deadshot wasn't the biggest highlight in the movie. And if his presence will only deter from focusing on the all-girl group, I'd rather Smith stick to his own movie.

Gotham City Sirens is also gaining traction in the rumor department following some clues pointing to the possibility that Megan Fox might transform into a redhead to play the role of Poison Ivy.

Like most DC films, I'm still cautious about approaching this with hype. Having Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and Catwoman team up to form a badass girl group is interesting—but so was Suicide Squad.

And unless David Ayer, who is returning to helm the project as director, can make sure that Gotham City Sirens won't be making the same mistake as Suicide Squad, we might need to come to theaters with a good deal of baggage from the previous movie.

Gotham City Sirens and the Suicide Squad sequel currently have no release dates as of yet.
