Star Wars Fanbase Divided On Whether Or Not Alden Ehrenreich Fits As Young Han Solo

Lucasfilm dropped the trailers for Solo: A Star Wars Story earlier this week, and while most fans were relieved that the studio finally began the Star Wars spinoff's marketing campaign, others seem a bit confused on how to feel about Alden Ehrenreich's version of Han Solo.

The fanbase seems to be a bit divided on its opinions on the Hail Caesar! star, and though the divide doesn't seem as prominent as when Lucasfilm released The Last Jedi, it seems like some just can't stand Ehrenreich as Solo.

The many complaints against Ehrenreich vary. Some fans hate it because Ehrenreich doesn't look or sound like Harrison Ford, others think that the actor's a bit too "stiff" and humorless, others think that Solo's going to be garbage. Han is one of the most iconic characters in the franchise, and fans have just seem to have a lot of expectations of what a young Han should and shouldn't be.

Of course, while some fans do nothing but complain about Solo, there are others who are nothing but excited for the Star Wars spinoff's arrival. Though they do admit that Alden's Solo isn't much like Ford's version of the smuggler, they appreciate that the actor tries to make the character his own saying that he feels right playing Solo.

How about you? Do you think that Lucasfilm did a great job casting Ehrenreich as young Han Solo? Why, or why not? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below.
