Spider-Man: Homecoming Sequel will Take Peter Parker Around the World

We still don't have that much information on the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel, but news that has come out has lead us to believe that it will bring Peter Parker on a trip to Europe. As it turns out, he's actually going to go to more places, and this is confirmed by Marvel head Kevin Feige.

Speaking to io9, Feige explains:

"We start filming early July. We film in London. We shot first film in Atlanta. And we shoot a lot of films in London but there's another reason we're shooting in London which is, yes, Spidey, of course, will spend some time in New York, but he'll spend some time in other parts of the globe."

The way Civil War and the fact that he went to Leipzig Airport and then has to go back to school, informed Homecoming, the two Avengers films that precede [the sequel] will greatly inform, probably even more so, the next movie."

It's worth noting that Spider-Man 2 will be the first MCU film coming out after Avengers 4, and it would be interesting to see just how much Peter Parker will be able to handle high school again after going head-to-head with a planet-destroying alien. We already saw him picking hero-ing over school in the first movie, but hopefully Marvel won't just rehash the same plot points for the sequel.

Based on rumors, the film is looking for someone to play a European Gwen Stacy, and a lot of people are also convinced that the villain this time around will be Kraven the Hunter. Of course, I'm always a fan of surprises, so hopefully Marvel brings in someone nobody ever expected.

I'm just hoping they bring back J.K. Simmons for J. Jonah Jameson.

The Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel is set to come out July 5, 2019.
