Samuel L. Jackson Would Rather Be In John Wick 3 Than A Solo Nick Fury Movie

John Wick is probably one of the freshest things to come out of the action genre in recent years, and it's cemented Keanu Reeves as a solid action hero. The franchise has been able to draw in several prominent actors from Ian McShane to Willem Dafoe, and now Pulp Fiction star Samuel L. Jackson wants in on John Wick 3.

In an episode of Meet The Movie Press, Simon Thompson shared some details about some conversations he's had with Jackson in the past. He says:

"He actually was less interested in that than he was in an idea he floated with me, and he's floated it with me twice now. He wants to do, over a Nick Fury movie, John Wick 3 with Laurence Fishburne and Keanu Reeves. He absolutely loves the John Wick movies. He wants in. He doesn't want in, he wants in with a capital IN. Seriously, I think he will do whatever he needs to do to get in on John Wick 3."

Sounds like Jackson is passionate about getting a role. To be honest, I don't think a Nick Fury solo movie would do that great in the box office — unless it brought in several other characters from the Marvel Universe. Then again, I'm pretty sure that Fury's most action-packed years happened before he was leader of SHIELD. Back when Captain America first came out, I was hoping for a young Nick Fury to appear, with his slowed age a result of volunteering for the Super Soldier program. Ah well.

Sam Jackson returns as Nick Fury in The Avengers: Infinity War which comes out May 4, 2018.
