Earlier today, we shared some interesting info about Darth Vader's action scenes in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which makes sense since this is a prequel to the original 1977 film.
JoBlo shared some interesting details about the film, and some of them might be spoilery to some people, so if you don't want to know, don't read further.
> First, there are Stormtroopers wearing all-black uniforms appearing in the movie. According to JoBlo's sources, they're being referred to as "Death Troopers", although there was no mention if the commonly referenced "Shadowtrooper" from the Legacy Universe would be used.
> One of the prominent characters in the film is a droid that works for Felicity Jones' group, that's said to be a "scene stealer" in the movie (Who could possibly beat BB-8's charm?). It used to be an Empire droid and has been repurposed to serve the Rebel Alliance. The droid two-legged and a dark grey or black color. It also has long arms and legs and is very different than a typical protocol droid like C-3PO. Could this be the motion-capture character Alan Tudyk is playing?
> There will be new TIE Fighter designs and AT-AT's will be featured in the movie.
> One of the key characters' names is "Cashen".
> The site also confirmed that Darth Vader will appear in the film, and is expected to have a larger role than originally speculated.
I'm excited to see Darth Vader's return to the big screen as well as that "show-stealing" droid.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will be released on Dec. 16, 2016.
