Is Yuji Related to Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen Explained

A lot of fans have been wondering how Yuji Itadori can still control his body even after eating some of Sukuna's fingers. As fans continued to watch the series, even the jujutsu sorcerers were surprised knowing how a young normal boy can be a vessel for Sukuna, the King of Curses. The higher-ups of Jujutsu Tech plan to execute him because they did not want to risk having Yuji lose control over Sukuna.

Fans have a theory that once Yuji has all 20 fingers of Sukuna, the cursed spirit will take full control. Aside from that, fans are curious whether Yuji and Sukuna are related or not.

Unfortunately, there is no answer yet to that question. Jujutsu Kaisen is still ongoing so fans will have to wait for updates regarding this. Some fans have their own observations that led to theories about the relationship of the two.

One popular theory is that Yuju and Sukuna are the same people. Fans got this theory after seeing Sukuna's soul which is exactly like Yuji. While other fans might debate that the reason for this is that Sukuna's soul is inside Yuji so the souls look the same, those who made the theory will reiterate what Mahito said before.

If fans can remember, Mahito said that the soul does not dwell in the body, rather, it was the body that connects itself to the soul. This means that Sukuna's soul should look different from Yuji.

Another theory is that Yuji might be a descendant of Sukuna. Fans are aware that Sukuna is a human sorcerer and all the other sorcerers tried to defeat him. When he died, he became a cursed spirit with a curse too strong that no one can fully destroy it. Fans argue that connections like this are common in shonen anime and that this could be a good reason Yuji became a vessel for Sukuna.
