Punisher 2 Starts Shooting by the End of this Month

Admittedly, Marvel Netflix has seen a drop in audience interest ever since the release of Iron Fist, but the Jon Bernthal lead Punisher series is actually well appreciated by fans. The show has been greenlit for a second season, and production is expected to start sooner than we thought.

According to SpoilerTV, Netflix's Punisher is set to begin production this coming Feb. 26, with production set to wrap July 20. Steve Lightfoot is back as showrunner for season 2, but we still have no idea who Frank is officially going up against this time around.

Though we're sure that Frank is set to come back, I think a possible candidate for the villain would be Billy Russo a.k.a. Jigsaw. We saw Frank ruin his pretty face in the end of the first season of The Punisher, and no doubt he's going to want to get back at him for ruining his chances of getting laid in the future.

Though I love Bernthal as Frank Castle, I thought the series could have done away with Dinah Madani's arc. I really wasn't invested on anything she was doing, and I just found myself wanting her scenes to end just so I could get back to Frank and Micro.

Though the show is expected to start production soon, expect The Punisher 2 to come out sometime in 2019.
